We are Barrhaven’s Roman Catholic Parish and we are serving our community in the center of Barrhaven. If you are new to our parish, please know that we are honoured by your presence.

Our parish serves the needs of our community in many different ways: preparation for Sacraments, children's liturgy on weekends, social activities, assistance to those in difficulty, comfort to the sick and those who mourn a loss. If we can be of service to you, do not hesitate to call or email us.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph
, in you we contemplate the splendour of true love, to you we turn with trust.

Holy Family of Nazareth, grant that our families too may be places of communion and prayer, authentic schools of the Gospel and small domestic Churches.

Holy Family of Nazareth, may families never again experience violence, rejection and division: may all who have been hurt or scandalized find ready comfort and healing.

Holy Family of Nazareth, may the approaching Synod of Bishops make us once more mindful of the sacredness and inviolability of the family, and its beauty in God's plan.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, graciously hear our prayer! Amen.

Wednesday House Mass

Our well-received Wednesday evening House Masses will resume this month. The host family invites/ welcomes friends / fellow     parishioners to their homes for Mass followed by a pot-luck supper on a scheduled Wednesday evening. The dates are: Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Jan. 13, Feb. 3, Feb. 24, April 27 and May 4. If you are interested in hosting a Mass and supper on one of these dates, please call the office. Those who have not yet hosted a Mass will be considered first.

From the Financial Council

Because of funding changes from the Ministry of Education, the Catholic School Board now finds it necessary to ask us to pay some of the cost of using the school gym for Mass on the weekends. After serious discussions, the proposed fee has been reduced by about half. The Board and St. Joseph HS have treated the parish well over the last decade, giving good service and charging nothing. The new fee, however, means we will need to raise at least an additional $1,000 a month because our present income barely covers our other expenses. Please consider what you can do. There will be further information in a general financial report in November.
